"5 MSME lending products tested under regulatory sandbox found viable for adoption: RBI "

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved five products related to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) lending, which were tested in the third cohort of its regulatory sandbox. These products have been deemed viable for adoption by regulated entities, provided they comply with relevant regulatory requirements. The products include solutions for digital cash flow-based credit underwriting, cash-flow-based financing for MSME sellers, real-time working capital access, invoice-based finance for MSMEs, and digital MSME Mudra loan processing. The RBI's regulatory sandbox allows live testing of innovative financial technology solutions, and the third cohort on MSME lending is now open for ongoing applications. The central bank aims to foster collaborative efforts and innovation to support the MSME sector's growth, acknowledging its vital role in India's economic development.
