Furthering an ambitious AI growth initiative, Amazon will invest $10 billion in North Carolina data centers. This follows a substantial commitment to Georgia infrastructure costing $11 billion. Increased data provision will bolster the firm's generative AI products, including its Trainium chips and Claude chatbots. Amazon cited growing cloud infrastructure and compute power needs due to the proliferation of generative AI. The investment will "support the future of AI from AWS data centers", the company declared.
