Amazon Web Services Public Sector Symposium 2023 that took place in September saw a series of announcements by the Cloud computing behemoth. One of the largest service providers in the world, AWS has been actively collaborating in the public sector space in India. The event last month reiterated the established partnerships along with a string of new announcements. Cloud computing, the foundation of their services, involves using remote internet servers for data storage and processing. AWS collaborates with various Indian organizations, including ISRO and IN-SPACe, to support space-tech growth, train students in AI and ML, and provide cloud services to space startups. They also partner with the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology to expedite genome sequencing research, reducing analysis time by 98%. Additionally, AWS, in conjunction with ConveGenius, has developed a conversational AI chatbot called SwiftChat for government and private schools, enhancing educational services.
