Indian tech firm Zoho expands into the payment solutions market with its newly launched smart Point of Sale (POS) platform, supporting 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. The devices allow merchants to process payments via chip cards, UPI, and QR codes, featuring a touchscreen and integrated printer. CEO Sridhar Vembu describes this hardware move as a "natural expansion" for Zoho Payments, which began as a software solution in 2024. The devices are PCI DSS certified, emphasizing security and compliance.
