The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has joined forces with Meta to launch "Be an Empowered Consumer," a digital literacy campaign featuring an AI chatbot called "GrahakNyay." Built using Meta's Llama 2 language model and developed with IIT Bombay, the chatbot will streamline consumer complaint filing and rights information access. Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi and Meta's Chief Global Affairs Officer Joel Kaplan announced the initiative, which operates under the "Jago Grahak Jago" framework. The partnership aims to enhance digital safety awareness, focusing on password security, online verification, and threat recognition.
