China has unveiled its next-generation high-speed train, the CR450 prototype, which has achieved test speeds of 450 kilometre per hour (km/h), making it the fastest train in the world. The CR450 surpasses the current CR400 Fuxing trains, which operate at speeds of 350 km/h, marking a significant leap in rail technology. The CR450 project, initiated in 2021, focused on safety, energy efficiency, and passenger comfort.
