Anthropic has updated Claude’s Google Workspace connectors so the AI can draft, reply to, forward, and send emails in Gmail. Users still need to ask Claude to handle a thread. By default the system shows the message and waits for approval before anything leaves the inbox. On Team and Enterprise plans, owners can let members turn that approval step off so actions run without asking each time. The same update improves Google Drive support. Claude can now share, move, or delete files when prompted. The features are limited to paid Claude plans. Claude cannot read the content of email attachments, only their metadata. The change moves Claude from summarizing and drafting toward actually carrying out everyday email tasks under user control.
