Demand for Agentic AI talent rises 260% as enterprises embrace AI | Justo Global

Demand for Agentic AI engineers in India rose 260 percent year-on-year in 2026, the highest growth among emerging tech roles tracked by HR firm CIEL HR. GenAI solutions architects and AI product owners each saw 120 percent growth. LLM engineers and MLOps engineers recorded rises of 86.5 percent and 82.2 percent. The findings draw on more than 450 million job postings, 30 million professional profiles and 10,000 mapped skills from March 2024 to May 2026. AI is already handling up to 70 percent of the workload in ticket resolution and report generation, and 65 percent in test-case creation. Support, reporting and manual quality assurance show the highest potential for task-level automation. CIEL HR CEO Aditya Narayan Mishra said routine work is being automated while demand grows for people who can build, integrate and govern AI in real business settings. Organisations are expanding AI training, cloud academies and reskilling programmes to close skill gaps.
