The European Union aims to secure private funding to enhance its position in quantum technology by 2030, as stated by EU tech chief Henna Virkkunen. The EU has invested over €11 billion ($13 billion) in public funding over the last five years but currently captures only 5% of global private investments in the sector. The EU Quantum Strategy will promote collaboration in research, infrastructures, and support local startups to retain competitive edge against foreign entities.
