Researchers at Technion's Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences have developed eye-tracking technology that identifies a reader's goal—whether for general comprehension or specific information—with 90% accuracy. Presenting at the Association for Computational Linguistics, lead researcher Omer Shubi and team revealed the model achieves nearly 80% accuracy within two seconds of reading. Dr. Yevgeni Berzak stated, “These studies pave the way for new methods in assessing linguistic knowledge," highlighting broad applications in education and media.
