Founded by Arvind Sokke, Ashwin Sokke, Manish Chowdhary, and Karan Chowdhary in 2014, it emerged from a setback in their prior electronics retail venture, which incurred a significant loss of $1 million. Rather than giving up, they pivoted towards e-commerce, laying the foundation for WOW Skin. With an initial investment from their savings, the founders focused on delivering high-quality products and a consumer-centric approach. WOW Skin expanded its reach, becoming an omnichannel brand with a presence in 40,000 retail locations, contributing 25% to their total revenue. Their diverse product range of over 500 items garnered high ratings on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. By FY22, WOW Skin was among the top three direct-to-consumer beauty brands in terms of revenue.
