Google has launched its experimental AI app Dreambeans in India, marking the first time the product is available outside the United States. The app is free on Android and iOS for users aged 18 and older and supports 13 Indian languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali, plus English. Dreambeans uses information from connected Google services such as Calendar, Gemini, Gmail, Photos, Search, and YouTube to proactively create personalized, illustrated stories about a user’s interests and daily life without requiring prompts. Google recently added animation capabilities powered by its Veo video model for select stories. Users can choose which services to link and delete their data at any time. Google selected India because of strong user interest and high overlap across its core services. The app focuses solely on storytelling rather than general queries, and users can select only one language at a time.
