Google has launched a new AI feature enabling users in the U.S. to call local businesses directly from Search for pricing and availability checks. This function, driven by Google's Duplex and Gemini technology, caters to specific services, such as pet grooming and auto repair. According to Robby Stein, vice president of product, AI will identify itself during calls. Meanwhile, AI Pro and Ultra subscribers gain "higher limits" for usage, enhancing convenience in service inquiries.
