HCLTech launched a new business unit called HCLTech Pulse on Thursday to help enterprises scale artificial intelligence and modernise their technology systems. The unit targets companies with annual revenues between $500 million and $5 billion. Research firm Everest Group estimates this segment represents a $400 billion global technology-services market that is growing 7 to 9 percent a year as firms move from AI tests to wider use. Pulse brings AI strategy, data, cybersecurity, platforms, engineering and business processes into one integrated model. It covers responsible AI implementation, data and AI platforms, cloud transformation, application modernisation, cybersecurity, engineering services and managed services. CEO C Vijayakumar said the real advantage goes to companies that rethink processes from the ground up and do it safely. The unit is built for organisations that have usually pieced together work from many specialist vendors.
