How MSMEs can register on govt’s GeM portal via Udyam registration; check step-by-step process

Businesses seeking registration on the Udyam portal for MSMEs to sell goods and services to the government via the GeM portal don't need a separate GeM registration. The one-time Udyam registration covers GeM as well. Visit udyamregistration.gov.in and select 'For new entrepreneurs' or 'For those already having registration as UAM.' Verify Aadhaar with the OTP. Proprietorships need the proprietor's Aadhaar; partnerships need the managing partner's; HUF needs the karta's; and other entities need the authorized signatory's GSTIN, PAN, and Aadhaar. Select 'type of organization' and verify PAN. Answer 'Yes' to GeM registration at point 22. Opt for simultaneous registration on other MSME portals. Fill out the form and click 'Submit and Get Final OTP.' Receive the Udyam registration number and certificate via email with a QR code. GeM registration requires a mobile linked to Aadhaar and an NIC-registered email.
