Former Apple employees Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno's startup, Humane, has launched the AI Pin, a display-less smartphone designed for the AI era. Unlike traditional smartphones, this wearable device can be discreetly worn on clothing, serving as a fashion-forward lapel pin. Operating with voice commands, it utilizes ChatGPT and Bing for tasks like sending messages, making calls, and taking pictures. The AI Pin, magnetic and voice-enabled, can project information onto the user's palm for interactive use, offering a unique and compact alternative to conventional smartphones. With a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, motion sensors, and a 13 MP camera, the AI Pin is a powerful device available in three variants. Priced at $24/month under a subscription model, initially exclusive to T-Mobile in the US, pre-orders begin on November 16, with shipping scheduled for early next year.
