The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Report on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in India focusing to evaluate digitalization and sustainability awareness and preparedness among manufacturing SMEs. The report, based on a survey of over 600 SMEs across 14 cities in India, underscores the increasing adoption of digital technology in various business functions, and it leading to enhanced competitiveness and reduced operational costs. The study also highlights challenges, such as the lack of skilled resources. To address these challenges, the study recommends increased awareness about government schemes, leveraging Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) platforms like GeM and TReDS, and promoting sustainable practices. Additionally, the report emphasizes the importance of addressing key concerns related to access to finance, electricity supply, and land leasing to foster the growth and development of SMEs in India.
