India's biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry is undergoing a transformation with the rise of predictive technologies. AI, sensor networks, and digital twins are enabling real-time monitoring and optimization of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. However, for India to become a global leader, it must include its MSMEs. To achieve this, India can develop an Open Biotech Stack, an open-access infrastructure of AI tools, and transform its pharmaceutical clusters into national-level bio-manufacturing hubs. Policy support, including matching grants, tax breaks, and government-certified datasets, can also encourage wider adoption.
