Instagram has launched its new feature, Instagram Map, allowing users to share their most recent active location and discover location-based content. This initiative aims to compete directly with Snapchat's Snap Map, which boasts over 400 million monthly users. Location sharing on Instagram is off by default and only updates when users open the app. The map also includes “Notes” for user messages, enhancing engagement between friends.
