Intel and zero-exposure security firm Atsign have combined agentic AI architecture with Intel hardware-backed key generation, encryption and hashing. The collaboration reports roughly 8,700 percent better performance for hardware-accelerated, end-to-end encrypted communications using the Agent2Agent standard. The work targets security risks in distributed edge environments, including exposed keys, untrusted devices, sensitive data exchange and workflow tampering. Atsign supplies identity management, namespace isolation, scoped data sharing, end-to-end encryption and auditability under a zero-trust model. Intel contributes protected key storage, secure boot, trusted compute, Total Memory Encryption and Full Disk Encryption. Tests showed an almost 88-times performance uplift on Intel Xeon up to 5 Gb/s and a 60-times uplift on Intel Core Ultra 9 up to 6 Gb/s. The companies frame the results as enabling secure edge AI for smart-city autonomous transport.
