The U.S. Small Business Administration announced Lafayette Square as one of four new licensees for Small Business Lending Companies (SBLCs). SBLCs are awarded to SBA 7 (a) lenders that concentrate on historically underrepresented markets to support the SBA's continuous efforts to expand access to affordable capital for business owners in underserved markets across America. Lafayette Square will be able to boost its support for businesses in working-class communities nationwide and enter 7(a) lending.
