The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has narrowed the field for a government-wide agentic AI platform to CoRover and Kyndryl Solutions after technical evaluation. Cactus Technology Solutions and NEC Corporation India were disqualified, according to a National e-Governance Division notice. The project aims to build a reusable conversational and agentic AI bot framework that departments can use to deploy assistants without starting from scratch. It is described as a Bot-as-a-Service capability that can answer queries, perform transactions and escalate issues on a user’s behalf. DigiLocker will be the first implementation and serve as the minimum viable product, handling tasks such as fetching and securely sharing documents, managing a user’s document drive and accessing data with proper consent. The stack is required to use open-source and open-weight components and support both SaaS APIs and fully on-premises deployment.
