Meta has released a dedicated Muse AI app for iPad just one month after the smartphone launch. The company also confirmed that a Windows version is coming soon. Muse is designed as an agent rather than a simple chatbot. It can book flights, manage calendars, pay bills, draft and send emails, and handle other multi-step tasks. Actions run in an isolated cloud environment called Muse Secure VM, and the system is programmed to request permission before sensitive steps such as spending money or sending messages. Since its September 8 debut, Muse has been installed more than 6.6 million times, according to Sensor Tower. The iPad update adds connectors for work tools, including Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Zoom, Asana, Notion, and Granola. Meta is also expanding shopping capabilities with major retailers, though some sites currently block the agent. The company is working with partners on an open standard so websites can verify legitimate personal agents.
