Meta has launched Muse Code, its first dedicated AI coding agent. The preview release works with the new Muse Spark 1.2 model. Both were developed together to improve coding performance. Muse Code is built to handle full software engineering tasks across large repositories. It can plan changes, write code, test results and coordinate multiple sub-agents working in parallel. Meta Superintelligence Labs chief Alexandr Wang said the tool goes beyond simple code snippets. Developers access it through a pay-as-you-go model. A lower-cost contributor tier is also available. That option costs more than ten times less but requires users to share data that helps improve the models. Muse Code will sit in the same developer portal as the Muse Spark API. The latest model will also be offered through OpenRouter. Enterprise customers can request zero-data retention so their code is not stored for training. The launch comes as Meta looks for new AI revenue beyond advertising.
