Meta is rumored to introduce camera-free smart glasses called Luna at its Connect developer conference next week. According to a report from The Information, the device would have no camera or screen but would include six microphones integrated into the frame, speakers directed at the user’s ears, and access to Meta AI. Two designs are said to be in development under the names Clubmaster and Burbank. Users would interact with Meta AI through voice commands or a side button that starts a conversation. The speakers would also support podcasts and music. Removing the camera is expected to allow a thinner and lighter design closer to ordinary eyeglasses, which typically weigh 25 to 30 grams, compared with current Meta smart glasses that often exceed 50 grams.
