Microsoft has unveiled a redesigned Copilot “super app” aimed mainly at business users. The launch was announced on September 25. The app combines chat with AI bots, tools for everyday tasks, a coding feature and a new Autopilot capability that lets AI agents act on their own. Users can name an agent, assign it a role and a goal, then set it to handle project updates, track deadlines, gather materials and follow up with colleagues. The coding tool lets non-engineers build apps or dashboards using natural language and shares technology with GitHub Copilot. The super app also connects directly to Office tools such as Excel and Word. A free version exists, but full features require Microsoft subscriptions. Advanced agent and coding use will carry extra usage-based charges. Most new features are starting in early-test programs. Microsoft has added permission controls, audit logs and isolated environments for security.
