Police officers are starting to use AI chatbots to write crime reports. Will they hold up in court?

Oklahoma City’s police department is one of a handful to experiment with AI chatbots to produce the first drafts of incident reports. AI-powered software, called Draft One, generates reports using body camera audio, reducing the time officers spend on writing reports. Some prosecutors and legal scholars are concerned about the reliability of AI-generated reports, especially in court, as officers must still ensure accuracy.
