Sarvam already offers several models. Saaras V4 handles speech recognition in Indian languages and English, including overlapping multi-speaker talk. Vision 2.0 digitises documents and has processed over 35 million so far. The Odisha government uses it. The flagship Sarvam 105B model works with AI agents. Sarvam says it beats OpenAI’s GPT-5.4 Mini and Google’s Gemini 3.5 Flash on some voice and instruction tasks. The company recently became India’s first AI unicorn after a $234 million funding round that valued it at $1.5 billion. It has opened a research lab in San Francisco and added advisor Devendra Singh Chaplot. Experts note the models still need wider paid use and a clear performance leap to match global leaders.
