The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) is set to launch an app-based 'invoice financing' loans platform called 'GST Sahay' to bolster the economic and financial sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Rahul Priyadarshi, CGM of SIDBI, announced this initiative during a customer outreach program, recognizing MSMEs' crucial role in India's economic growth. GST Sahay aims to alleviate the working capital credit crunch for MSMEs by offering a marketplace where they can use unpaid invoices to secure quick working capital loans. Additionally, SIDBI plans to boost industrial growth in Bihar, emphasizing opportunities in agro-processing, medical, and agri-tourism sectors. The bank has witnessed a 35% increase in lending in the Patna region and intends to further augment its loan assistance. SIDBI's commitment to transparency and trust in business operations was highlighted.
