Snapchat's AI chatbot, My AI, uses OpenAI ChatGPT to respond to user queries. However, the chatbot now poses serious privacy risks to children. The UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) found that Snap failed to identify and assess privacy risks for millions of My AI users, including children aged 13 to 17. Now, ICO has sent a notice to the company stating that they need to prove their findings wrong. If they fail to admit the risk, then Snapchat's My AI feature may get banned in the country. The social media platform will have to assess and review its policy for children between 13 and 17 years old. The My AI chatbot debuted in April, and several users discussed its ability to generate accurate responses. However, many users highlighted the risks of information sharing with the AI chatbot. The company also claimed that the conversions are reviews to train and improve the functionality.
