Sophos has partnered with OpenAI to integrate the AI company’s frontier models into Sophos Fusion. The cybersecurity platform connects endpoint, network, email, cloud, identity and security operations. The integration will let managed service providers use AI for threat detection, investigation and response without deploying OpenAI models as a separate tool. Sophos CTO John Peterson said frontier AI only protects organizations at scale when it sits inside a defense system with connected control points, shared context and human accountability. Sophos has more than 25,000 partners, including over 7,000 MSPs. Approved partners will be able to build tailored security services on the combined platform. The deal expands an existing relationship under the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program. Sophos is also preparing early access to Sophos AI Defense in August 2026.
