MediaTek is set to launch an AI PC chipset for Windows PCs in late 2025, entering the competition with Nvidia and AMD as Qualcomm's exclusivity with Microsoft ends. The new chip aims at Microsoft's Copilot Plus PC program, and MediaTek may also collaborate with Nvidia on a gaming chip. Competition in the laptop space intensifies.
