The call-recording app Neon, which surged to 75,000 downloads within a day, has been taken offline following a major security breach. Users' phone numbers, call recordings, and transcripts were exposed due to unsecured servers, allowing access to private data from any logged-in account. Founder Alex Kiam stated that Neon would pause operations to enhance security, but did not address the extensive data leak. This incident raises serious concerns about data privacy in new apps.
