TSMC unveiled new AI-driven strategies to enhance energy efficiency in computing chips by up to 10 times during a Silicon Valley conference. Currently, Nvidia's AI servers consume up to 1,200 watts, equivalent to 1,000 U.S. homes' power. TSMC collaborates with Cadence Design Systems and Synopsys to leverage AI tools that outperform human engineering in chip design. "This thing runs five minutes while our designer needs to work for two days," stated TSMC's Jim Chang, highlighting significant time savings in technology optimization.
