Israel's NSO Group was found guilty by a US judge on Friday of hacking WhatsApp and violating its contract. According to the lawsuit, NSO installed Pegasus spyware using a WhatsApp bug. The case will go to trial to ascertain the damages NSO must pay. 2019 WhatsApp filed the case, alleging that the business had installed Pegasus on over 1,400 devices by gaining unauthorized access to its servers.
