Amazon signs pact with India Post for MSME exporters

Amazon has signed an agreement with India Post to streamline cross-border logistics for MSME exporters. This partnership was celebrated with the unveiling of a postal stamp at Amazon's Smbhav Summit 2023. Amazon introduced Sah-AI, an AI-based personal digital assistant, to assist sellers with tasks like registration, listing, and advertising. Additionally, Amazon announced its collaboration with Indian Railways' Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFC) to use freight railway routes for shipping packages, making it the first e-commerce company in India to do so. Amazon aims to digitize 10 million MSMEs, generate $20 billion in cumulative e-commerce exports, and create 2 million jobs in India by 2025. This move toward digitization is expected to benefit small businesses by expanding their customer base and reducing costs. Amazon is committed to investing in infrastructure and technology to support Indian businesses and contribute to the country's digital economy.
