Ant Group, has launched its first driverless taxi, the Hello Robot1, intensifying competition in China's autonomous vehicle market. The vehicle is based on the Venucia VX6 SUV and is equipped with 14 high-resolution cameras and 26 sensors for comprehensive environmental awareness. The firm aims to deploy 10,000 robotaxis across over 10 cities next year and plans to scale to 50,000 globally by 2027. With initial funding exceeding 3 billion yuan (US$421 million), Hello eyes significant market impact.
