Foxconn, the Taiwanese contract manufacturer, is set to invest $1.54 billion in India, reinforcing the country's push for local manufacturing. While specific details were not provided, the investment aligns with Foxconn and Apple's strategy to diversify from China and establish alternative supply chains. Additionally, the company will invest Rs 3,300 crore in its Telangana manufacturing facility, bringing its total investment in the state to over Rs 4,550 crore. The move reflects Foxconn's commitment to doubling its manufacturing capacity in India, endorsed by Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
