Google has launched Ask Google Pay, a Gemini-powered conversational assistant inside the Google Pay app in India. Users can ask natural-language questions about their spending, such as how much they spent on dining last month or where most of their money went this week. The tool analyses Google Pay transaction history and, where available, linked credit-report data to give personalized insights and savings suggestions. It can also explain concepts including SIPs, credit scores, compound interest and tax regimes. The feature supports text or voice input in 10 Indian languages and is optional. Google says the data stays within Google Pay and is not used to train its broader AI models. Alongside the assistant, Google expanded its Flex credit programme with a new Google Pay Flex SBI Card on the RuPay network. The card can be applied for in-app, earns Stars redeemable at one rupee each, and supports EMI conversion.
