As part of its entrepreneurship promotion initiative, Business Network India (BNI), Coimbatore, along with its chapters in Tamil Nadu and the rest of Kerala, has partnered with the Malaysia-based Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) to explore business opportunities within Southeast Asian countries. A delegation from BNI Tamil Nadu will participate in the inaugural GOPIO International Expo and Business Summit 2023 in Kuala Lumpur from December 1 to 3. The Business Summit aims to serve as an important global platform for the growth and progress of People of Indian Origin (PIO) and Indian diaspora businesses and entrepreneurs, bringing together over 400 dignitaries. CK Ashok Kumar, founding president of First World Community (FWC), an entrepreneurship enablement platform for the global Indian diaspora, said Malaysia will serve as a gateway to business opportunities for ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations).
