China has unveiled the world's first commercial 10G internet in Xiong’an, offering download speeds of 9,834 Mbps. Developed by Huawei and China Unicom, this ultra-fast network utilizes 50G PON technology, providing sub-3 ms latency. This allows swift downloads, like 4K movies in under a second, while enhancing sectors such as VR, autonomous vehicles, and smart agriculture. This deployment aims to position Xiong’an as a tech model city, potentially expanding to other urban areas like Beijing and Shanghai.
