China has begun mass production of the world's first non-binary AI chip, per SCMP. Developed by Li Hongge's team at Beihang University, the chip integrates hybrid computing technology capable of overcoming limits in traditional computing. It merges binary and stochastic logic, offering higher fault tolerance and power efficiency, and bypasses US chip restrictions. The chip targets applications in aviation and industrial systems.
