Xpeng Aeroht, a subsidiary of Xpeng Inc., has commenced trial production of its flying cars at a 120,000-square-metre factory in Guangzhou. The facility is set to produce 10,000 detachable aircraft modules annually, beginning with an initial capacity of 5,000 units. This groundbreaking venture follows Elon Musk's announcement of Tesla's own flying car. Xpeng claims to have secured orders for nearly 5,000 units, aiming for mass production by 2026, marking significant advancements in urban air mobility.
