The wallets work with the x402 protocol that Cloudflare already uses for its Monetization Gateway. An agent with a small budget can try many low-cost APIs without risking large unexpected charges. Owners can also give agents a human-readable address such as research.example.cloudflare.pay so websites know which organization is behind the request. Funding starts with regular payment methods or stablecoins where available.
