CM to launch MSME infra projects today

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to virtually launch multiple infrastructure projects developed by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), aiming to attract an investment of 1,782 crore. The projects include four flat bed factory complexes costing 286 crore, contributing to the MSME sector's growth and generating employment for over 18,000 individuals. APIIC Managing Director Pravin Kumar highlighted efforts to facilitate the micro and small enterprise (MSE) sector's development under the 'Ease of Doing Business State Reform Action Plan.' With 11 projects worth 84 crore completed under the MSE-CDP, APIIC plans 28 new projects costing 355 crore, expecting a total investment of 2,200 crore and creating employment for 25,000 people. As of November 2023, Andhra Pradesh has 6.58 lakh registered MSME units, with two lakh MSMEs generating 12.62 lakh jobs in the past four years.
