Dell Technologies has expanded the Dell AI Data Platform, the data foundation of its AI Factory, with a Unified Semantic Layer, Enterprise Knowledge Graph and Knowledge Agents. The additions aim to give applications and AI agents a consistent, trusted view of structured and unstructured enterprise data so systems spend fewer tokens reconstructing meaning on every query. The Semantic Layer applies shared business definitions and supports imported ontologies, including NVIDIA Auto-Ontology. The Knowledge Graph maps relationships using metadata, lineage and query history. Knowledge Agents act as topic-specific advisors grounded in defined slices of the graph and powered by NVIDIA Nemotron Retriever models. Dell also reports that its Data Processing Engine, using NVIDIA cuDF, processes data nearly four times faster on average than CPUs alone and up to 20 times faster on batch workloads. PowerScale gains support for up to 500 tenants plus stronger security controls.
