A Georgia state judge has allowed Delta Air Lines to pursue a lawsuit against CrowdStrike over a massive computer outage in July 2024 that disrupted 1.4 million passengers and led to 7,000 flight cancellations. The judge ruled Delta can seek damages for gross negligence, citing CrowdStrike's reportedly defective software update that crashed over 8 million Windows-based computers worldwide. Delta claims $550 million in lost revenue from the incident.
