Biometric sensor company Fingerprint Cards (FPC) has become a Premium Partner of semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, emphasizing their collaboration in advancing biometric technologies for authentication across payments, IoT applications, and more. FPC, having shipped over 1.5 billion biometric sensors, will focus on innovation in access control, payment cards, and high-security applications. This partnership aims to leverage biometrics as a secure bridge between physical and digital realms. FPC, which as of last year has shipped more than 1.5 billion biometric sensors, joins other companies in the Infineon Partner Ecosystem. FPC previously worked with Infineon on the Secora pay bio card. After posting less-than-stellar financials in recent quarters, FPC last month hired a new CEO and announced its intention to pivot away from the market for mobile sensors, which it says has matured.
