The Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) and the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) joined forces to promote MSMEs in India. Their collaborative efforts will tackle issues such as delayed payments, legal impediments, and enhancing the provisions of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Act. With a focus on fostering broad-based entrepreneurship, GAME and FISME aim to propel sustainable growth in the MSME sector, a vital driver of the Indian economy. The partnership emphasizes the need for a multifaceted approach to address the chronic problem of delayed payments, as highlighted by the staggering overdue amount of Rs 8.55 lakh crores. The Office of Development Commissioner under the Union Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises is also actively engaging with stakeholders to reinforce the effectiveness of the MSMED Act.
