Google announced that Gmail users in the United States can now change their account username ahead of Gmail’s 22nd anniversary. Users can modify their Gmail address through Google Account settings without losing emails. The previous address remains active as an alternate alias, allowing users to receive emails and sign in using both addresses. However, users can only create a new username once every 12 months. The feature is rolling out gradually and aims to help users replace outdated or unprofessional email addresses created years ago.
